Waupaca Elevator Recall

 

The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission is warning consumers to stop using Waupaca elevators until they are fixed. A recent cab fall in Millbrae, California, injured 13 people and caused broken bones. The manufacturer was given enough time to fix the problem, but instead focused on a solution that did more harm than good. The CPSC has issued a recall on nearly 8,000 residential elevators made by the Waupaca Elevator Company. The elevators are prone to sudden falls and can cause injuries.
