Aerial Parachutist Demonstrations Help Raise Public Awareness About the Special Operations Command

The United States Special Operations Command has a premier aerial parachute demonstration team that performs at high-profile events across the nation. These shows help raise public awareness about the mission of the Special Operations Command and the 70,000+ members who support them. However, a more comprehensive understanding of this command's role is needed to fully appreciate the unique characteristics of the Para Commando. To learn more, read on! In this article, you'll learn how the command supports over 70 nations around the world.

In the late 1980s, the Indian Army deployed a large contingent of Para Commandos to Sri Lanka to fight the LTTE. The ill-fated mission ended with six soldiers dead. The para commandos were forced to take cover under a house where they were misled by a youth who offered to help them find Prabhakaran. This led to an unplanned wild goose chase. They were engaged in combat for over twenty-four hours, and repelled the LTTE only when reinforcements arrived.

Today's Special Operations Forces include active duty Special Operators from the Army Special Forces, Army Rangers, Navy SEALs, Air Force Combat Controllers, and Marine Raiders. They also include Special Operations Enablers, including Marine Raiders, from all four services. As a result, there are many different roles within a single Para Commando unit. Listed below are a few of the most popular jobs that Para Commandos perform.

During the conflict in Sri Lanka, the Pakistanis struck at the cease-fire line on December 3-4, and the 93 Brigade's headquarters had tried to deploy the Para Commandos to reinforce the cease-fire line. However, the forceful leader, Major Chander Malhotra, attempted to prevent the PARA COMMANDO from being deployed. However, on December 3, para commandos noticed unusual movements in the sky. When patrols went to investigate, they discovered an enemy battalion and Special Services Group. The attack ended in the killing of forty enemy.

For those interested in joining the Para Commando, there are certain requirements. First, applicants must complete 10+2 education or higher. Second, candidates must pass a physical test. If they fail, they will be guaranteed to be part of the parent regiment. Finally, Para Commandos are exclusively for males. To become a Para Commando, you must be at least 157 cm tall. For Army and Airforce, this is equivalent to five feet.

The Para Commandos' salary depends on their rank in the Indian Army. The pay band of a Sepoy is approximately Rs5200-R20,200. In addition, they receive a grade pay of Rs2,000 per month. For Havildar and Nayak, the pay band is Rs2,400 and Rs2,800 per month. You should be in good physical condition to do your job in this environment. But the work is not for everyone.

Those who are aspiring Para Commandos must have relevant experience and 50% marks in their written tests. If a candidate has passed the eligibility requirements and has a good medical condition, he or she can still join his parent regiment. The training, which lasts approximately three months, is intense. For a few months, Para Commandos undergo training, while SF commandos may also undergo basic courses.
